Beach Workout in 15 Minutes

Get to the beach, take your shirt off and get some sun with this lower body workout. We are going to be hitting the quads, hamstrings and calves today. Look for the softer sand on the beach and go barefoot as this will strengthen your stability. Go through this entire circuit 5 times. Trust me, you will be feeling it.

Sand Skip

Push off with one leg and land on the opposite leg. Make sure to extend your kick off leg and bring the other leg up for a moment. Do 6 skips for each leg.sand skip Beach Workout in 15 Minutes

Shuttle Run

Take a stance, move out to the right 5 yards then go back to your original spot. Then move out to the left 5 yards and go back to the starting point. Do this 5 times.

Follow Your Dreams

Forget the rest. Don’t listen to what they have to say. A haters job is to hate. Do what you want to and disregard anyone who gets in your way. Be yourself. I’ve been twisted and molded my entire life. Not until the past couple months have I begun to think for myself. Set priorities and do what needs to be done because when you let yourself be cut down by the non belivers you are losing precious time, time that will never be made up. This is your life, do what you want. Be what you want to be because you only have one chance. Why mess it up? Where did this come from? My time and experience living. Most people that read this are probably older then I am. Some may doubt. But don’t because success and failure is the offspring of success.

If you know what you’re worth then go out and get it.

Are Carbs A Yay o Nay in Dieting?

A topic that I have ventured in during my time dieting. Now comes the debate on whether I should keep carbs high, medium, low or non existant.  I’ve gone through every carb diet there is. I’ve gone super low carbs on the Keto diet. I’ve gone a regular 40/40/20 diet and I’ve done carb cycling. Honestly I never recorded my results enough to know which ones made the most significant weight loss.

I’m at that point in ones weight loss when they have that layer of “baby” fat. We all know it. That o so soft layer of extra padding around your mid section, covering those o so precious abs. Now I’ve never gotten to the point where I have completely been ridden of the baby fat in the mid section but I’m going to try damn hard to get rid of it so I can finally have some legitamate abs.

I will most likely go with a restricted carbohydrate intake. Something along the lines of carbs only in the morning and after my work out. I’ll figure everything out once I decide the route I’m going to take (which won’t be long). Seriously this baby fat has got to go because I am sick of it.

My Hearts On Fire and My Guts Round.

Summer’s coming full force and I have nothing to show for it. Some extra baby fat, pale skin and a huge loss of motivation is all I got in my hand right now. I’m not sure what it was that killed my motivation, a bunch of factors come to mind when I think about. College? College eating habits? All you can eat college buffet? Eh, who knows. It’s OK though, my motivation was sparked last night while playing some euchre.

A friend of mine said something to me that I really took to heart. I don’t know if it was her or if it was the hormones talking but I thank her for reigniting my motivation for fitness. I went directly to the gym after euchre and ellipticaled (word?) my heart out and I realized I was very very out of shape. My heart was felt like it was pumping sludge and my legs burned like I had a squat work out the day before. Cardiovascular exercises have NEVER been my strong point or something I have enjoyed. Always headed to the to the weights and told my self the running will come another day, and well that happened once a month.

Good thing though, last nights heart attack elliptical experience has really brought my focus back on my health, something I have neglected more then I have ever wanted to. Lack of exercise, binge eating, and substance abuse. I’m at that point in my life where I’m realizing priorities and what life is really about and I’m not going to mess it up. I don’t want to be another average joe, I want to be the difference, I want it all.  I know I’ve said this before, but I’m back on track now and in more then one way.

Thank Cam
